Are you looking for a once in a lifetime experience? Why not visit Malahide Castle? It's just a short distance from Howth and well worth a visit. You are not going to want to miss this rich piece of Irish history.  Dating back to the 12th century, the castle includes some of the most fascinating architectural phenomena around. In addition, you can take a guided tour of the castle. Whilst on the guided tour you can explore private rooms, collections and discover the important part this castle played in Irish political and social life. The castle grounds are also historic and beautiful.

The Talbot Botanic Gardens are located right behind the castle. The Garden was planted in 1902 by Lady Isabel and her seven children. As a result, they started noting all the plants in detail. The garden is a historic place for future generations and a must see for plant collectors.

You can spend a full day learning the culture of Dublin from both of these locations.

Stayed for one night while working in Howth. This is a beautiful property, the room is immaculate and done to a very good standard. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Our room was exactly as pictured and even better! Easy check in/check out, tea and coffee in this stylish studio style room... washer/dryer, stove and sitting area. Cute bathroom with a nice hot shower, great heater in the room and TV great for anytime you may want to stay in! Meg is there to greet you when you arrive if you need her! The location was unbeatable! You can't put a price on the views of the village when you walk out the door or the the convenience of pubs and shops right by you with the Irish Sea steps away! Not to mention the Dart right there to go back and forth to city centre or the bus stop on the same road! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable!

Hillary saved us when we had a last minute cancellation at another place. she is wonderful and so is the room. It’s beautiful with wonderful decor, even the dishes are stylish. Super comfortable bed and beautiful house . Even milk in the fridge for our coffee. She thought if every detail. And Howth is a beautiful village. A much better value than staying in city center and so lovely . We would come back to this same place again and highly recommend it
